Do You Take Insurance?

No, I do not accept insurance at this time. Before I guide you through the “out of network” process, I want to let you know that the decision of not taking insurance is very intentional. Not working with insurance allows me to give my full attention to you, rather than to a system that can dictate your diagnosis, treatment plan, or the number of sessions you are allowed to have. Your healing deserves to be guided by your needs, not by limitations set by an insurance company.

I also value your privacy. Insurance companies typically require a mental health diagnosis and ongoing clinical documentation in order to authorize and continue treatment. Many people appreciate that private-pay therapy offers a greater level of confidentiality, allowing them to seek support without creating a permanent mental health record.

My approach is rooted in a wellness model rather than a medical model. I don’t believe that your struggles define you or that every challenge needs to be viewed through the lens of “something is wrong with you.” Instead, I see symptoms as meaningful signals often your nervous system’s way of adapting to difficult experiences. My goal is to help you heal, grow, and reconnect with yourself, not simply manage a diagnosis.

If you’d like to use your out-of-network benefits, I’m happy to provide a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Please keep in mind that a Superbill requires me to assign a mental health diagnosis, which becomes part of your medical record. I’m also happy to walk you through that process and answer any questions you have.

Please contact your insurance company directly to find out if you have out of network benefits; not all plans have this option. Below are some questions to ask your insurance provider when you call the number on the back of your insurance card:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health insurance benefits? (Some companies call these behavioral health benefits.)

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

  • What is the address to send my "super bill" or invoice in order to be reimbursed?

Do you provide online sessions?

If you are not local to Coral Springs or simply prefer the comfort of your own space, I offer secure, confidential online therapy sessions anywhere in Florida. These virtual sessions are just as deep, personalized, and transformative as in person work. Whether you are navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship patters, or healing from past experienes, we create a safe space togerther, right where you are. Many of my clients find that being in their own environment actually helps them open up more fully, feel more grounded, and integrated the work into their eveyday lives. All you need in a quiet space, a stable internet connection and a willingness to show up for yourself.

What Is Your Cancellation Policy?

To cancel a scheduled counseling session, a minimum of 24 hours in advance of your session is required. If prior and timely notification is not given, you will be charged the full session fee for the missed session.

How long would be in therapy?

Everyone’s circumstances are unique and the length of time you will be engaged in therapy depends on your goals, your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the factors and concerns that are driving you to seek therapy in the first place. We will work together to determine length of treatment and throughout our work together, evaluate where you are with your goals and reassess as needed.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
